A brief overview of our company- Yummy Market (company website) was established in 2002 and stands as a medium-sized Grocery Retail Store with a specialization in Eastern European merchandise. We operates in 2 location:

• 4400 Dufferin Street, North York, M3H 6A8
• 1390 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Maple, L6A 4H6

At the moment, we are actively seeking a skilled cook with expertise in preparing Korean cold dishes at our Major Mackenzie location.

An ideal candidate you will be responsible for assembly and preparation of Asian style cold salads. Your role will involve ensuring the consistent and high-quality execution of these salads while managing inventory and overseeing the kitchen helpers' tasks.

• Assemble Asian style cold salads, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain the authentic flavors of Asian style cuisine, including but not limited to: Seaweed salad (Miyeok Namul), Korean Kimchi, Calamari/fish salad (Hwe Dup Bap), and Korean Glass Noodle Salad (Japchae).
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits to precise specifications for salads.
• Properly cook, heat, and finish ingredients as needed for the salads.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience as a kitchen helper and/or prep cook, emphasizing food preparation, cutting techniques, and salad assembly.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precise cuts, proper presentation, and adherence to recipes.
• Proven efficiency in fast-paced kitchen settings, meeting deadlines while upholding high-quality standards.
• Flexibility to work adaptable hours, responding to changing demands and schedules.
• Able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and handle physically demanding tasks, including extended periods of standing and managing kitchen equipment.
