“Skate For All” – Community Open House

February 22 | Ford Performance Centre (Etobicoke) | 2:30–6:30 PM

A welcoming, beginner-friendly event where participants can:

• Step onto the ice for the very first time in a safe, supportive, friendly and fun environment
• Meet and skate with a National Team speed skater
• Learn about speed skating and other Canadian winter ice sports in a fun, low-pressure setting
• Enjoy hot chocolate while connecting with our coaches and volunteers
• Relive some of the best moments of the Milano-Cortina Olympics

No experience is required. Participants may bring any skates and a helmet (limited loaner equipment available).

 “First & Fast Strides” – FREE 6-Week Program

March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4 & 11
Commander Arena (Scarborough) | 1:00–2:30 PM

A six-week, no-cost program designed specifically for newcomer and youth participants who would benefit from a structured introduction to speed skating.

This program removes common barriers to sport participation and provides a positive, confidence-building introduction to organized sport in Canada.

All necessary equipment is provided. Please note: participants should be able to skate around the rink unassisted and be able to get up independently after a fall.
