Support a Stronger, More Inclusive Community

Every step we take is powered by community. The KCCA Marathon is more than a race — it is a celebration of unity, diversity, and the incredible strength that comes when people come together with a shared purpose.

Our community is made up of individuals and families from many backgrounds, generations, and experiences. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to participate, connect, and feel a sense of belonging. Through events like the marathon, we create spaces where people can build relationships, celebrate achievements, and support one another.

KCCA Marathon — One Community. One Journey. Endless Possibilities.

Unfinished Promise/Forward Looking

Twenty-six thousand Canadians once crossed an ocean not to collect on anything, but because a promise had been made that peace shouldn’t die quietly on the other side of the world — and on a hill above Kapyong, seven hundred of them proved it, holding a line for two days so Seoul could stand free. That promise didn’t end at the armistice; it was only ever half kept, because the peninsula it protected is still divided today. Twenty-one years into this race, Koreans and non-Koreans, veterans’ families and newcomers keep showing up for the same 10K not to look backward at what was owed, but to carry that unfinished promise forward, together, year after year. No finish line at Sunnybrook Park will reunite a peninsula — but every runner who crosses it, whoever they are and whatever brought them there, is proof that the promise Canada made in 1950 still has people willing to keep the Peace, twenty-one years running and counting.

KCCA

For over 21 years, the Korean Canadian Cultural Association (KCCA) has brought communities together through culture, service, and a shared commitment to peace.

The Toronto Peace Marathon is KCCA's signature event, uniting runners and walkers of all backgrounds to remember the past, celebrate unity, and move forward with hope. More than a race, it is a tradition that reminds us that peace begins with each of us—and that every step helps carry that promise into the future.
